We welcomed our fourth bundle of joy into our family this year. There is nothing quite like a newborn – with his soft, delicate skin and growing wide-eyed awareness of his loved ones and surroundings. The first year is a whirlwind, no doubt, and a year of tremendous growth and change for the little one and the entire family. As a parent I’ve grown to relish those moments when the pace slows down just a bit – when I notice what my baby notices – his hands, his feet and how he can move and interact to impact the world around him.
Like all parents I have an intense desire to protect my children from the very start – right down to baby’s delicate, oh-so-soft skin. A long-time user of Eucerin products I recently received the three products in their baby care line for use and review: Eucerin Baby Lotion, Eucerin Baby Creme & Eucerin Baby Wash & Shampoo. I wouldn’t use just any product on our baby (or any of our children for that matter). Knowing that Eucerin is the number one brand recommended by pediatricians is significant to me. I also appreciate that Eucerin has 100+ years of innovative skincare science behind its products. This science has led to clinically proven safe and effective products for daily use on baby’s delicate skin, even skin that may be irritated. That is comforting for a mom and results in comfort for our little one as well.
I primarily used these products for our baby and was impressed with the light texture but noticeable moisturization in this cold, dry weather. I also used the Eucerin Baby Creme on our two year-old, whose skin is dry and more sensitive than the baby’s. His dry patches are softening and he seems to even realize himself that the content of the blue-capped bottle soothes his skin. The largest benefit, in my opinion? Rather than stress about harsh chemicals or fragrances that may bother my children – Eucerin Baby products are both paraben- and fragrance-free – I’m able to soak in those moments of bonding with our little ones instead. Bath time with Eucerin Baby Wash & Shampoo and a bedtime routine including stories, singing and a gentle massage with Eucerin Baby Lotion are some of the moments of our day that I look forward to most. They are moments that slow down the pace so I can appreciate our little ones’ amazing growth and discovery as well as the security of knowing the products touching their skin are safe, gentle and effective.
