THE MAGIC HOUSE GETS TAILS WAGGING WITH NEW EXHIBI
Pet Clinic Grand Opening, March 3rd
By: Michelle Spann
The Magic House is going to the dogs and cats and hamsters! On Saturday, March 3, The Magic House is opening a brand new Pet Clinic in the museum's Children's Village. Children can dress up in lab coats and scrubs and take on the role of veterinarians and veterinarian assistants as they bandage, weigh, x-ray, scan microchips, groom and take care of their furry patients. The Pet Clinic will feature two exam rooms, a grooming center, an office, kennels, a fenced-in play area and a hamster habitat. A special ribbon cutting will take place at 10:00 am.
The Animal Protective Association (APA) of Missouri will be lending a "paw" at the event, teaching children about responsible pet ownership. Children can play a giant board game on animal safety, participate in fun art activities and use microscopes to discover the science behind providing good pet care. The APA will also be bringing their Homeward Bound Mobile Adoption Unit with real dogs and cats to visit with children from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm. These pets are looking for a new home and are available for adoption that day!
The Pet Clinic exhibit at The Magic House is sponsored by ZhuZhu Pets.
